Our kitty grass mix contains a blend of wheat, barley and oat grass.  Grasses are edible and supply a very concentrated nourishment for human consumption as well as for animals.  Grass supplies an abundance of minerals, vitamins, amino acids (the building blocks of life), chlorophyll, iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A, C, and E. And these are only a few. Research has shown many more benefits derived from its use, including being a good skin healer.  Grass is gluten free and can be safely consumed by people with celiac disease and others with concerns about gluten, since only the seeds contain gluten.  Grasses are high in amino acids.  It totally supports muscle tissue and speeds up metabolism of fats. A lack of amino acids contributes to depleted energy, and other deficiencies. Bones and tooth enamel are strengthened with the intake of amino acids, and it also plays a major role in stabilizing blood sugar.  We use a diluted sea salt solution that contains a full spectrum of trace minerals to water our greens.  When plants take in these inorganic minerals, they add a carbon atom to them, making them organic.  You or your pet then benefit from receiving these trace minerals in their bio-available organic form.  The grass family can take in close to all 90 trace minerals.  Out kitty grass mix is usually given to pet and can be used for juicing or blending in green smoothies.
